TaylorMade P790 2023 Custom Irons
Clean players styling meets individually optimized performance. The 2023 P790 combines a forged face, hollow construction and progressive internal weighting for distance, forgiveness and controlled flight throughout the set.
Product Overview
Each P790 iron has its own internal design, tailored to its role in the set. A pearl chrome finish with a tour satin accent gives the head a refined appearance, while SpeedFoam Air and carefully positioned mass support consistent performance beneath the surface.

An Inside Look
AI-assisted mass optimization gives each iron a purpose-built internal structure. Thick-thin back walls free weight for strategic redistribution, while precision tungsten placement helps balance distance, forgiveness and accuracy.
FLTD CG for Consistent Performance
The center of gravity sits lowest in the long irons and progressively rises through the set. This supports easier launch in the longer clubs and more precise trajectory control as you approach the green.
Intelligent Sweet Spot
The forged 4140 steel face measures just 1.56mm at its thinnest point. Combined with revised internal shaping, it creates a larger sweet spot than early P790 generations to support consistent speed and accuracy.
Premium Sound and Feel
Lightweight SpeedFoam Air fills the hollow head to damp vibration. The internal stabilization bar further tunes impact sound and feel while preserving the weighting needed for each iron’s performance goals.
Optimal Launch and Forgiveness
The forged L-Face, Speed Pocket and internal weighting work together to support launch and consistency. Selected heads incorporate up to 38 grams of tungsten.
