A five-year Miura design project brought to life in a deep Black QPQ finish, combining distinctive weight distribution, forged feel and a shape engineered to help return the head square through impact.
Product Overview
The KM-700 is one of Miura's most distinctive iron designs. Katsuhiro Miura spent five years refining the head and its weight distribution, using Miura's forging and grinding expertise to create a compact iron that blends precise feel with surprising playability. The QPQ edition adds a deep black finish while preserving the underlying forged character of the S20C soft carbon steel head.
Optimized Weight Distribution
The back geometry is shaped to optimize center-of-gravity placement through the set, with the distinctive toe grind playing a key role in the design.
Expanded Playability
Miura's hosel and heel design shifts the center of gravity farther toward the toe, helping enlarge the effective sweet spot and improve results on off-center strikes.
Miura-San Hanko Stamp
The red hanko stamp on the back cavity marks Miura-san's approval and the culmination of the KM-700's long development process.
A Shape Built Around Center Of Gravity
The KM-700's unusual back shaping and toe grind are functional design elements, not decoration. Miura uses them to tune center-of-gravity position by iron and promote a more natural return to square through impact.
CG Shifted Toward The Toe
In the 7-iron, Miura's hosel and heel design moves the center of gravity 3 mm closer to the toe, positioning it 35 mm from the heel. The goal is a larger effective sweet spot and straighter, more useful results when contact drifts away from center.
