Epon Golf | Japan Forged
Epon AF-503 Custom Irons
A forged pocket-cavity iron handcrafted in Japan. A soft S20C forged body paired with a high-strength spring-steel face delivers deep-CG launch, distance and a remarkably large sweet spot.
Product Overview
The AF-503 is Epon’s athlete-oriented pocket-cavity iron. Its two-piece construction joins an ultra-precision forged S20C mild steel body to a special spring-steel face, while the pocket cavity pushes the center of gravity deep for higher launch and more forgiveness. Strong lofts and a moderately wide sole make it one of the longest, easiest-to-hit irons in the Epon line without losing the classic look better players want.
Forged S20C Body
Ultra-precision forged mild steel body made in Japan for soft, solid feel.
Spring-Steel Face
A high-strength spring-steel face boosts ball speed and distance.
Pocket Cavity
Deep CG design widens the sweet spot and launches the ball higher.
Distance. Forgiveness. Japanese Craftsmanship.
Forged Feel in a Pocket Cavity
AF-503 brings Epon’s Japanese forging and finishing to a pocket-cavity design, combining spring-steel face speed with the soft feel of a forged body.
Best Fit For
- Mid-handicap players wanting forged feel
- Golfers seeking more distance and launch
- Players who appreciate premium Japanese irons
Technology & Design Highlights
Two-Piece Construction
Combining a forged body and spring-steel face lets Epon tune speed and feel independently for distance with a soft impact.
Deep CG Pocket
The pocket cavity moves mass low and back for high launch, even on thin strikes.
Toe-Heel Balanced Back
Back design that visually and physically balances weight toward the toe and heel for stability.
CNC Milled Face & Grooves
Precision-milled faces and grooves create consistent spin and control so shots hold the green.
Nickel-Chrome Satin Finish
A classic satin nickel-chrome plating reduces glare and gives the AF-503 its clean, premium look.
